Meet Travis

Travis Bryar Australian Artist. Travis is a contemporary fine artist who’s line work and blending evokes the renaissance masters of our past. Travis brings his unique vision of intersecting Fine Art with Collectables.

Having an interest in memorabilia and collectibles throughout life, Travis wanted to bring fine art into that space.

My intention is to create Artworks that captures a moment in time and making them timeless though Art.

Travis’ approach is realism through structural detail and complex shading, often spending well over 200 hours to complete his vision for each Artwork.

He discovered his artistic ability at an early age, finding it an innate gift rather than a learned ability, but it wasn’t until his early 30’s that he would begin to take Art seriously. It was the passion he had for the game of basketball that brought forth the Art,

“without the emotion I feel for what I’m creating, I don’t think I could create these works”

Travis is preparing for his solo exhibition beginning in 2026

Life S

My love of Basketball dates back to the Summer of 1993. Fresh off a three-peat, Michael Jordan became the centre of my universe. As a young boy my world revolved around the game of basketball

During my early years before basketball I was an avid Artist, I was known as an artist by everyone around me, and it was a great part of my identity. From a young age I could draw in great detail but because it required immense patience it was difficult for me to stay focused and over time basketball became the main focus of my life and the drawing drifted away.

The idea that I was an Artist lingered during my high school years, but I rarely created any Art. I couldn’t see a vision for how I could use my gifts.

It wasn’t until my 33rd year that a spark of inspiration hit me, it was an epiphany. I wanted my life imbued with basketball and almost as if I had remembered, the idea that I could draw flooded back to me.

A vision permeated my entire being that I could create Fine Art memorabilia by drawing the players I loved to the highest level I could.

I started by drawing Kobe as he was the basketball love of my life along with Jordan.

My initial estimations were that a drawing like this might take me 60-80 hours, but as I witnessed my process unfold it became evident that this was a gross underestimation. The first drawing spanned a full year, while I worked a full time job and raising my 2 young children.

Subsequently each drawing I have embarked on has not reduced in time but instead increased. My attention to detail expanding the more I draw and pushing myself to go beyond with each piece.

I endeavor to create timeless Art of the greatest players in the world using my gifts that I have been blessed with. This is my way of giving back to the game of Basketball that has brought me so much.
